A search warrant executed Friday by local law enforcement officers led to three Henry Countians being charged with a variety of drug counts.
Officers from the Metro Crime Unit, Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Paris Police Department and the 24th Judicial District Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at 6840 Highway 54 west of Paris. They found 1-1/2 pounds of marijuana, various prescription pills, digital scales and a handgun.
Jeffrey D. Whitehead, 23, and, Ashley D. Walls, 24, both of 6840 Highway 54 west of Paris, and Adam C. Capps, 18, of 4155 Copper Springs Road near Mansfield, were all arrested on site. All three were charged with possession of marijuana with intent to sell, two counts of possession of prescription pills with intent to sell, possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bond was set at $50,000 for Whitehead and Walls and at $25,000 for Capps. All are scheduled to appear Tuesday in Henry County General Sessions Court.
Also this weekend, a Puryear man returned home from a three-day vacation to find several electronic items missing. A laptop computer, valued at $2,200 was reported missing Sunday from the victim’s truck outside a residence on Rice Humphreys Road in Puryear.
Also missing were a GPS unit, valued at $119, and a CB radio, $88, according to a report by Cpl. Milton Webb of the Sheriff’s Department. The items were last seen Thursday afternoon.
