Robert Wade “Robb” Jarrell, 61, formerly of Paris died on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, at Jewish Hospital in Louisville, Ky. No cause of death was given.
Visitation is planned from 2-6 p.m. Sunday at Owen Funeral Home in Louisville. The funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. The body is to be cremated.
Jarrell was born on March 22, 1956, in Jacksonville, N.C., to the late Roy and Annette Brisendine Jarrell.
He married Ruth McGaha on Aug. 9, 1980, and she survives.
Jarrell was a 1974 graduate of Henry County High School. He completed his education at Murray State University and was a retired educator who spent his entire career in the Louisville/Fairdale, Ky., area. He was a former member of East Wood Church of Christ in Paris and a musician and drummer who played and harmonized in a trio, Fade II Grey.
He is also survived by his son, Paul (Beth) Jarrell; two sisters: Lisa (Theodore) Williams of Knoxville and Julia (Christopher) Warren of North Chesterfield, Va.; three grandsons: Vincent, Ringo and Harrison, all of Fairdale; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Thomas Wade and Georgia Bennett Brisendine of Henry County and Robert and Grace Jarrell of Logan, W.Va.
