Richard “Rick” Byrns, 54, of Henry died on Monday, Dec. 4, 2017.
His body is to be cremated. Memorial visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. today and from 2-3 p.m. Friday. A memorial service will follow at 3 p.m. Friday at Ridgeway Funeral Home with Craig Peevyhouse officiating. Military honors will follow the service.
Byrns was born April 12, 1963, in Union City to Brenda Chappell Byrns (Gerald) Jones of Martin, who survives, and the late Richard T. Byrns.
He was married Aug. 29, 2015, to Diane Marie McCollum Byrns of Henry, who survives.
Byrns worked in senior management at Champion Homes in Dresden. He was a U.S. Army veteran who served in the 81st Airborne as a paratrooper and was a member of American Legion Post 89.
Along with his wife and mother, Byrns is survived by a daughter: Andrea Renee (Raul) Aguirre Perez of Greensboro, N.C.; a son: James Richard Byrns of Henry; two step-daughters: Samantha and Charli Eggers, both of Paris; two sisters: Kathy (Tim) Dye of New Albany, Miss., and Sandy (Gary) Mansfield of Martin; a sister-in-law: Mary Campbell of Paris; and five grandchildren: Maleque and Marrius Jackson and Kaison, Keilen and Kannon Eggers.
Along with his father, Byrns was preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Jeff “Tex” Campbell on Sept. 30, 2017.
