Hulme’s baseball starts tonight

The Hulme’s Classic baseball tournament was postponed on Thursday, but will begin play tonight at McNeill Park.

Tonight’s action will begin at 4:30 p.m. with Henry County taking on Lakeview on Field 3 while Inman plays Obion County on Field 4.

At 6:30 p.m., Martin will play Union City on Field 3 with Huntingdon battling Charlotte on Field 4.

Play resumes in the single-elimination tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday with Gibson County playing the Henry County-Lakeview winner on Field 3 while Camden plays the Inman-Obion County winner on Field 4.

At noon, Stewart County meets the Martin-Union City winner on Field 3 with McKenzie facing the Huntingdon-Charlotte winner on Field 4.

 

Wrong soccer player named

The Henry County High School boys’ soccer player booting the ball in the photograph on Page 6 of Wednesday’s Post-Intelligencer is Jarett Hayes, not Eric Wallett.

The Patriots are playing in a tournament that starts tonight in Gatlinburg. At 5 p.m., Henry County will play Coffee County.

On Saturday, the Patriots will battle Seymour at 2:30 p.m., then HCHS will take on Morristown West at 10 a.m. on Sunday.
