A COVID-19 vaccination pod set for Monday morning dropped its age requirement by five years shortly before it was scheduled to begin.

According to an email sent about 8:15 a.m. Monday by Tory Daughrity, director of marketing at Henry County Medical Center, the age requirement for those getting shots has been lowered from age 70 and up to age 65 and up.

The drive-through vaccination event was scheduled to begin at 9 a.m. at the Plumley Rehabilitation Center parking lot at Henry County Healthcare Center.
