Eiffel Gardens Senior Living Center, located on Volunteer Drive in Paris, will be a part of the upcoming Alzheimer’s Association event, The Longest Day.
Americare Senior Living is going to join The Longest Day event on June 21 as a global team sponsor.
The Longest Day is an event held on the summer solstice — the day of the year with the most light.
Participants worldwide will come together to battle Alzheimer’s through an activity of their choice.
Americare Senior Living communities will be hosting several activities for the event with their staff, residents and families with the intent of shining a light on the 5.7 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s disease, as well as the more than 16 million family members and friends who provide care and support to those individuals.
“Americare Senior Living is honored to support the Alzheimer’s Association’s efforts to raise awareness and funds in the fight against Alzheimer’s disease,” Americare Senior Vice President Jean Summers said.
“Many of Americare’s residents and employees have been affected by this devastating disease and recognize the importance of participating in activities such as The Longest Day that help bring Alzheimer’s disease out of the shadows.”
Americare Senior Living was established in Missouri, but communities are now spread across five states. The Eiffel Gardens community is an Americare Senior Living community.
