Beginning Spinners Workshop, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., The Homeplace 1850s Working Farm. Learn the ancient craft of spinning, taught by traditional fiber artist and Homeplace historical interpreter Cindy Earls. Learn techniques using a drop spindle and then how to prepare wool and other fibers for spinning. Cost is $25. Registration and full deposit are required. The Golden Pond Planetarium and Observatory is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day and the Elk and Bison Prairie is open every day, with best viewing times two hours after morning twilight and two hours before sunset.
