The Henry County Soil Conservation District has awarded five $500 scholarships to Henry County students planning to pursue studies in agriculture or natural resources. 

The Charles W. “Dickie” Brewer Memorial Scholarship was awarded to Jonah Brannon and Hunter Goodman. 

Brannon is the son of Tony and Lisa Brannon. He is an agribusiness student at Murray State University. 

Goodman is the son of Ranson and Karen Goodman. He is an agronomy student at MSU.

The Henry County Soil Conservation District Scholarship was awarded to graduating Henry County High School seniors Matthew Nanney, Blake Kennedy and Richard Conroy.

Nanney, the son of Glenn and Jennifer Nanney, plans to study crop and soil science at the University of Tennessee at Martin. Kennedy, the son of Chad and Stephanie Kennedy, plans to study agribusiness at Murray State. 

Conroy, the son of Richard and Lois Conroy, plans to study agribusiness at UT Martin.
