Heather Bastyr’s fourth-grade 4-H class met Jan. 27 at Paris Elementary School.

President Chloe Conklin called the meeting to order. Blake Wilkins led the pledge of allegiance and Alanna Chrisp led the 4-H pledge. The thought of the day was skipped and Drake Ward read the poem.

The focus was the speech contest. Students had already given speeches and four class winners were chosen to give their speeches for the 4-H leaders.

These were Conklin, Garrett McLeese, Klayton Anderson and Brodie Warbritton.

Three people were chosen to move on to the county contest — Conklin, McLeese and Warbritton.
