Jenny Nicole Howard and Brad Hamilton Wade were united in marriage June 1, 2019, at Fairview Baptist Church with John Smith officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Chad and Melanie Howard of Paris and Melanie Scott of Paris and Jeff Scott of Louisville, Tenn. The groom is the son of Teddy and Opal Wade of Paris.
The bride entered the church on the arm of her father and presented her mother and stepmother each a white rose. Leaving the ceremony the groom presented his mother with a white rose.
The bride wore a white lace mermaid style dress with lace sleeves. Her accessories were a pearl necklace and earrings. Her something borrowed was a pearl bracelet from her matron of honor. The flowers were orange lilies and white daisies.
Bride’s attendants included Maddie Cross Jordan of Arkansas, high school best friend, Ashley Wade, best friend of the bride, Shannah Scott, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were wearing blue chiffon halter dresses. The flower girl, Callie Halstead, cousin of the groom, was wearing a blue sequined dress.
Groom’s attendants included best man Jordan Wade, the groom’s best friend, Russell Wade, brother of the groom, and Landon Capps, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Jaceton Halsead, the groom’s cousin. Groomsmen wore gray pants with orange vests and ties. The ring bearer wore gray pants with a white shirt and orange suspenders. The groom was wearing a gray suit with an orange vest and tie.
The bride’s mother wore a navy knee-length dress. The bride’s stepmother wore an ankle-length navy dress with light blue flowers. The groom’s mother wore a slate blue, knee-length chiffon cape-fitted dress with sequined lace.
The reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church. Tables were decorated with white cloths and burlap and lace runners.
Flower arrangements of orange lilies, white daisies and mixed greenery in fruit jars lined with burlap accented each table. Larger arrangements were on the food table. The centerpiece was an arrangement in an antique brown churn which belonged to the bride’s great-great-grandmother, the late Jane Rushing.
Finger foods of beef and chicken sliders, meatballs, special dips and assortments of fresh fruit were served by a caterer. The wedding cake was designed by the bride and consisted of layers of white and strawberry. The cake table was accented by antique doors with green wreaths and burlap. The doors came from the home of the bride’s great-great-grandfather, Wallace Rushing.
Guests were also served the groom’s chocolate cake along with a special fruit punch recipe of the bride’s great-grandmother, Ernestine Rushing. Also displayed at the reception was a memorial table of past loved ones.
There was a photo booth available for guests to have their pictures made and later shared with the bride and groom.
The couple left the church showered by orange and white pom poms to the tune of “Rocky Top.”
They now live at 9182 Harlaxton Court, Knoxville, TN 37923.
The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the groom’s parents at Uncle Billy’s of Paris.
Guests were served a fresh salad, grilled chicken and pork loin, baked potatoes and macaroni and cheese with strawberry or chocolate cake for dessert.
