The Paris Woman’s Club met at the First United Methodist Church’s Heritage room.
Dessert was served first, with a caterer providing delicious apple dumplings. Club president Alice McCutcheon opened the meeting at 1:45 by reading the collect. Nine members were present.
As members paid their dues, they were given the new 2019-20 handbook. Secretary Bonnie Brooks read the minutes and Barbara Boden, treasurer, reported on the club’s account.
New business noted the General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) fall conference at Montgomery Bell State Park. The West Tennessee Rivers GFWC members district meeting is in October in Kenton.
Dorothy Gale introduced the program. Brooks gave a report on Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol. Afterward, McCutcheon led a discussion about 9/11.
