Don and Judy Cox of Puryear will be marking their 50th wedding anniversary on Saturday.
Cox and the former Judy Hubbard were married July 10, 1971, at Mount Zion Church of Christ in Buchanan. Dalton Vaughn, a minister from Murray, officiated the service.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Jo Hubbard of Buchanan and the late Glen Hubbard.
She has been employed with the Farm Services Agency (FSA) for 35 years.
The groom is the son of the late Floyd and Gladys Cox, who lived in Paris.
He is a retired Paris fire chief and worked for the Paris Fire Department for more than 30 years. He now farms in Puryear.
The couple have two sons, Chad (Maria) Cox of Puryear and Jeremy (Kasey) Cox of Buchanan. They have five grandchildren: Avery, Rush, Makenzy, Marshall and Macey Cox.
The family has scheduled a celebration from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the Enoch building at the Henry County Fairgrounds. Friends are welcome.
