Laura Selene Nash of Paris and Trevor Reece Cloar of McKenzie announce their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The couple will wed at 4 p.m. Aug. 24 at First United Methodist Church in Paris.
A reception will follow at the Paris Convention Center, 1510 E. Wood St. in Paris.
The bride-to-be is the daughter of David and Tonya Nash of Paris. She is the granddaughter of Joe and Nita Nash of Centerville and Jim and Roslynn Hayes of Henry.
A 2010 graduate of Henry County High School, she earned a bachelor’s degree in nursing from Murray State University in 2015.
She also has a master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner, which she received from Austin Peay State University.
While at Murray State, she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota. She was in the Racer Marching Band for five years, serving as drum major for three years and being voted as most outstanding member for two years.
She has been employed as a registered nurse at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
The groom-to-be is the son of Larry and Teresa Cloar of McKenzie. He is the grandson of the late Reece and Anne Cloar and the late Robert and Barbara Lemonds, who all lived in Paris.
He is a 2012 Huntingdon High School graduate. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering in 2016 from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville.
He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. He works as a field engineer for Howard Baker Inc. in Knoxville.
