The Bard of Avon’s enduring masterpiece of love and conflict is coming to Clarksville’s Roxy Regional Theater starting at 8 tonight and running through Nov. 16.

According to the Roxy press release, in keeping with the theater’s traditional pay-what-you-can opening night, all tickets not presold at the regular price will go on sale at 7:30 tonight for a $5 minimum donation.

An age-old vendetta between two powerful families erupts into bloodshed in this timeless tale of star-crossed lovers.

At a masquerade ball, young lovesick Romeo, a Montague, meets and falls instantly in love with Juliet, from rival family the Capulets.

Performances begin at 7 p.m. Thursday and 8 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays with a 2 p.m. matinee on Nov. 16.

Tickets are $25 for adults and $15 for children age 13 and younger, and may be reserved online at www.roxyregionaltheatre.org, by phone at 931-645-7699, or at the theater during regular box office hours (9 a.m to 2 p.m. weekdays) and one hour prior to curtain. 

Military and Austin Peay State University students can receive two tickets for the price of one to the Thursday performance.
