Mayfield-based band Stronghold

A band from Mayfield that specializes in classic rock, country and blues will be the featured performers on Friday night at Blues Landing as part of the Tennessee River Jam.

The show starts at 8 p.m.

Stronghold is made up of Pat Wray on lead guitar and vocals, Kyle Howard on keyboards, bass and vocals, and Logan Dowdy on drums and vocals. 

Wray formed the group in 2010, and it’s played in several establishments throughout  western Kentucky, northwest Tennessee, southern Illinois and even in Nashville. 

Last weekend, the band played at The Porch at Hidden Creek on West Antioch Road.

Within the last couple of months, they’ve also played in Paducah, Union City, Dover, Mayfield, and South Fulton, Wingo and Kuttawa, all in Kentucky.

Guitarist Larry “L.T.” Tharpe of Mansfield, who died in May, had previously played with the band. 

Admission is free to the Stronghold show Friday night. Blues Landing is at 130 Tate Drive off Highway 79 near Paris Landing.
