The REAL Hope Youth Center has named two people to leadership posts to replace the retiring co-directors.
Carl Anderson has been named as the center’s new executive director and Kelli Bratton will be the program coordinator.
“As we begin our tenth year, we’ve seen great results in scholastic improvements and community involvement of those who attend our youth center,” said Steve Gallimore, chairman of REAL Hope’s executive board.
“When we interviewed Carl and Kelli, the board realized what a great opportunity we had to further enrich an already great program. We wholeheartedly welcome them to REAL Hope Youth Center,” Gallimore said.
Anderson was described as having genuine compassion for children.
“Carl brings management and supervisory skills along with his desire to be a liaison between the center and the schools,” a board spokesman said.
Anderson’s most recent work experience was at Rhea Elementary School in Paris as an education assistant. He’s also a mentor with the Paris Optimist Club.
Bratton “is strong in organizational and administrative skills and brings a comprehensive academic background,” the spokesman said, describing her strengths as her passion and advocacy for children.
The center’s co-directors, Linley and Becki White, announced in April they would be retiring. Their retirements go into effect Monday.
The Whites had been involved with REAL Hope since 2012.
