Scores from Henry County restaurant inspections conducted by the Henry County Health Department for the week of Jan. 7-13 (maximum score: 100; scores available online at inspections.myhealthdepartment.com/tennessee):

• Subway, 1060 Mineral Wells Ave., Paris — Jan. 11. Score: 94. Critical violations: improper hot holding temperatures (meatballs in hot well at 120 degrees, out since 9 a.m., advised the staff to discard any remaining at 1 p.m. and have hot well looked at to see if repair is necessary as the staff stated meatballs were heated to 165 degrees at 9 a.m.); improper cold holding temperatures (chicken, Philly meat, ham, turkey, tuna salad, salami and pepperoni in meat make unit at 45-53 degrees, all items brought from walk-in at 8 a.m., advised staff to recheck temperatures at noon and discard any items remaining that are 51 degrees or higher, also advised the staff to stock smaller portions from walk-in and use cooler under microwave as practical until repair is made).

A follow-up inspection was completed Jan. 13, with critical violations corrected and score adjusted to 99.

• Burger King, 1016 Mineral Wells Ave., Paris — Jan. 11. Score: 91. Critical violation: improper eating, drinking, tasting or tobacco use (partially eaten employee food in microwave, discussed approved places to eat during inspection).

A follow-up inspection was completed the same day, with critical violation corrected and score adjusted to 96.

• Jack’s Java, 118 N. Market St., Paris — Jan. 12. Score: 98.

• Tat’l Tales Daycare Food, 411 Charles McCaig Lane, Paris — Jan. 12. Score: 98.

• Take Me Back Cafe, 302 W. Wood St., Paris – Jan. 13. Score: 93. Critical violation: hands not clean and properly washed (observed dish washer handle dirty dishes, don gloves without washing hands, then put away clean dishes, discussed proper handwashing and glove use during inspection).

A follow-up inspection was completed the same day, with critical violation corrected and score adjusted to 98.

• The Bowling Alley, 1118 N. Market St., Paris — Jan. 13. Score: 94. Critical violation: food not properly separated and protected (raw beef and chicken stored over ready-to-eat food — shredded cheese, buns, lettuce and cooked chicken — in Pepsi cooler, rearranged during inspection).

A follow-up inspection was completed the same day, with critical violation corrected and score adjusted to 98.

• RJ’s Lounge & Billiards, 103 S. Brewer St., Paris — Jan. 13. Score: 97.
