The Henry County Sheriff's Department will open storm shelters Saturday at four county schools.
Ron Watkins, Henry County emergency management director, said Saturday night the county was under a tornado watch until 2 a.m. Sunday.
Beginning at 8 p.m., deputies will open tornado shelters at Inman Middle School in Paris, Henry School in Henry; Harrelson School in Puryear and Lakewood School northeast of Paris.
Those arriving at shelters are asked to charge their cellphones ahead of time, and to bring their own hand sanitizer and folding chairs. People will be asked to practice social distancing once inside the shelter.
