Information has been released by the Tennessee Highway Patrol about a wreck that killed two young Henry Countians Saturday.
Sgt. Jena Eubanks of the THP office in Jackson released the report on the wreck Thursday afternoon.
Savanna Stallings, 22, of Puryear and Logan Way, 25, of Paris were both killed in the accident, which happened at 9:10 a.m. on Highway 641 southeast of Paris, about a mile south of the intersection with the Highway 218 Bypass.
According to the report, Stallings was driving a 2007 Chevrolet HHR southeast on Highway 641 with Way as a passenger.
Stallings’ vehicle crossed the center line and struck the front right part of a 2014 Mack tractor-trailer being driven by David Cummins, 53, of Paducah. The truck was traveling northwest on Highway 641.
Both Stallings and Way were killed, while Cummins was not injured. Stallings and Cummins were both reported to have been wearing their seatbelts, while Way was not.
No alcohol or drugs were involved in the wreck.
