The Paris Fire Department extinguished a vehicle fire Saturday night in the Wal-Mart parking lot.
The PFD was called to the scene at 6:11 p.m. as a 2006 Nissan Murano was reported to be on fire at the store parking lot, 1210 Mineral Wells Ave. Three trucks and six firefighters responded, and when they arrived, they saw a fire coming from the sunroof of the vehicle.
The fire was extinguished and the PFD left the scene 20 minutes later.
The driver of the car was listed as Aashanna Lewis, who had two addresses, one at 345 Rison St. and one in Indianapolis.
The fire caused estimated damage of $7,500 to the vehicle and $500 to the contents.

• A California man was arrested on drug and speeding charges Friday night by Paris Police Sgt. Jamie James.
Martin Kane Babb, 54, of San Diego was charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to manufacture, sell or deliver, a B felony. He was also charged with speeding and violation of probation.
Babb is scheduled to appear in Henry County General Sessions Court Tuesday. His bond was set at $30,000.
• A resident of Enterprise Avenue reported Sunday morning some items had been stolen from her storage shed.
The woman told Henry County Sheriff’s Deputy Frankie Scott the lock had been cut off her storage shed, and a Kirby vacuum cleaner valued at $700 and a leaf blower valued at $35 were missing.
