No pumpkin sale this year
Another local tradition is going by the wayside this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Knights of Columbus chapter from Holy Cross Catholic Church in Paris has annually hosted a pumpkin sale during October leading up to Halloween.
The sale typically was set up in front of Medical Center Pharmacy on Tyson Avenue.
However, because of the pandemic, the sale had to be canceled this year, according to Knight Tom Westling.
The following three governmental meetings are scheduled during the coming week. All are open to the public.
The Henry County Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at the county 911 offices, 204 N. Brewer St.
The Paris Special School District board will meet at 6:30 p.m. at the PSSD offices, 1219 Hwy. 641 southeast of Paris.
The Henry County Medical Center board of trustees will be meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the educational classrooms in the basement at HCMC.
