Several pieces of furniture were reported stolen Monday from a mobile home on Woodland Drive in Springville.

According to an incident report from Henry County Sheriff’s Sgt. Wayne Fuqua, the owner of the mobile home allowed a tenant to move in about a year ago.

He said the tenant was evicted, and she and the owner attended court Monday.

The owner said the mobile home was furnished when she moved in, and now it is missing several pieces of furniture.

Items reported stolen include a couch with dual recliners and a matching chair, valued at $3,500; a washing machine and dryer, $200; a full bedroom suite, $125; a dinette set, china cabinet and stove, with an unknown value; and several photographs and frames.

In an unrelated incident, two Springville residents were arrested at 12:24 p.m. Monday for cruelty to animals.

Benjamin J. Small, 40, and Rebecca L. Small, 35, both of 2940 Manleyville Road in Springville were arrested by Sheriff’s Sgt. Jamie Myrick, working with the Metro Crime Unit.

Both were due to appear in general sessions court Tuesday.

Rebecca Small was booked under a bond of $3,000, and Benjamin Small was booked under a bond of $1,500.
