The Paris Police Department was notified of two burglaries Tuesday.

A report by PPD Cpl. Amber Roaten indicated a Dell Latitude 3189 black laptop belonging to Inman Middle School was apparently taken from a residence. The laptop had been issued to a student and was apparently last used at 3 p.m. Friday at the school.  Another item missing from the residence was a gray 3D GameBox console. The laptop has an estimated value of $500 and the GameBox was listed at $149.

Roaten was notified of the burglary at 8:50 a.m., according to her report.

In an unrelated incident, an apartment on Walnut Street was allegedly ransacked during a burglary on Tuesday.

An incident report by Paris Police Sgt. Eric Long stated a rear window in the apartment had been broken through and $400 cash was taken from a dresser inside. Blood was apparently found on the floor near the front door of the apartment, suggesting the burglar may have been injured during the theft. The burglary happened between 4 a.m. and 3 p.m. Tuesday.
