Henry County, City of Paris and state government offices — and much of the rest of the community — remained closed Thursday after another round of snow came in on Wednesday and dumped nearly 4 inches onto the area.
That was on top of the 3 inches that fell on Monday, along with plenty of ice that also came in Monday.
“Although we have seen much improvement in our main roads and highways, many secondary and rural roads remain snow covered,” County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway said.
Henry County General Sessions Court was canceled Thursday, said Mike Wilson, county circuit court clerk.
Ridgeway said around midday Thursday he had not made a decision on closing offices for today, but indicated it was likely he would “let Mother Nature win” and just keep everything closed in hopes that warmer weather this weekend will ease the situation by Monday.
City of Paris offices, including those at city hall, remained closed as well. No decision had been announced for Friday as of presstime Thursday.
State offices in Henry County will remain closed today.
