Hospital plans charger drive

The Patient and Family Advisory Council at Henry County Medical Center will be collecting donated portable cellphone chargers throughout June and July.

These chargers are intended to be made available to families of patients visiting the hospital or emergency room. 

Cellphone chargers may be dropped off for donation in receptacles located in the Pink Petal Gift Shop, the emergency room waiting area, and the HCMC Iris Café.

Forever Friends yard sale set

Forever Friends Animal Sanctuary will be having a yard sale Friday and Saturday, and it will continue June 14-15. 

The sale will be from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, weather permitting, at 580 Jack Hill Road off the Highway 218 Bypass in Paris. 

It will serve as a fundraiser to pay for spay and neutering programs, cat litter and cat food.

Retired teachers to meet

The Paris-Henry County Retired Teachers Association will meet at 11:30 a.m. today.

The meeting will be at Tom’s Pizza & Steak House. All retired educators are welcome.
