The annual Memorial Day program will begin at 9 a.m. Monday on the north lawn of the courthouse.

Although the program has started earlier in the past, County Veterans Service Officer Bobby Nolan said there will be no fun run this year, to better adhere to social distancing, so there’s no need to start at 8 a.m.

The Tennessee State Guard will perform military honors during the program.

It will also feature guest speaker the Rev. John Dandridge of Quinn Chapel AME Church; guest singer Terri Pardon; and Ron Tyler, who will lead the opening and closing prayers.

Social distancing policies will be in place.
