The Paris Municipal Regional Planning Commission will discuss a rezoning request and an abandoned right of way at its 6 p.m. Thursday meeting.
According to the board's agenda, new business includes a rezoning request for 207 Blakemore Street.
Property owner Justin Fields is asking the board to rezone from single family/duplexes to multi-family zoning.
He plans to construct 3-6 units on the property, which is 56 feet wide and 178 feet deep.
If approved, the zoning request will be forwarded to the Paris Commission for approval.
In its second item of business, the commission will consider a request from two property owners to acquire a closed section of Clifty Road.
Chris Pitts and Lance Smith have expressed an interest in acquiring a section of the road that abuts their property.
Pitts owns a storage business bordered by Highway 641 and Clifty Road, while Smith owns properties on either side of Clifty Road that border the Highway 218 Bypass.
Both items were referred to the planning commission for its recommendation during the Jan. 2 Paris Commission meeting.
