Car stolen from parking lot

An unlocked car with the keys inside was stolen Tuesday night from a parking lot on Tyson Avenue in Paris.

According to a report by Henry County Sheriff’s Sgt. Jamie Myrick, the owner went to her car on her lunch break at about noon. She left her doors unlocked and her keys in her console when she returned to work.

Myrick said the owner noticed the car was missing at about 5 p.m.

Myrick also contacted someone to view video footage of the parking lot, and observed the car leaving the parking lot at about 1 p.m. headed toward Manley Street.

The vehicle is a 2012 four-door Ford Focus with a hatchback and a right headlight that has been taped up.
