Former Henry County resident Peter Wisocky of Memphis was killed Wednesday night after being struck by a tractor-trailer on Highway 79 southwest of Paris.
According to a report from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, a 2016 Mack truck was traveling at 10 p.m. southwest on the highway near Pioneer Road in Henry.
Wisocky was standing in the middle of the roadway in a curve when the truck hit and killed him.
Neither Wisocky nor the driver, Anthony McElroy, 49, of Mansfield, were reported as being under the influence of drugs or alcohol at the time of the wreck.
McElroy was wearing his seatbelt at the time of the accident and was not injured.
