Senior Jemarcus Johnson ran for 232 yards and scored four touchdowns to lead the Henry County High School Patriots to a 39-7 victory over Clarksville Northeast in a quarterfinal game in the Class 5A state playoffs played on Friday at Patriot Stadium in Paris.

Henry County also got touchdown runs from sophomores Ryan Damron and Zamariyon Kendall in the contest.

The Patriot defense held up its end of the bargain by limiting the Eagles to one touchdown and just 15 yards rushing. Henry County recovered a fumble, intercepted two passes and blocked a punt.

Henry County will play host to Summit at 7 p.m. Friday at Patriot Stadium. The Spartans scored a 36-29 victory over Beech in the quarterfinals.

On the other side of the state there were two upsets in the quarterfinals. South Doyle knocked defending state champion Knoxville Central out of the playoffs with a 21-14 win. Oak Ridge went to Knoxville West to earn a 31-28 victory and will host South Doyle in the semifinals.
