The following four governmental meetings are scheduled during the coming week. All are open to the public.
The Paris Housing Authority board will meet at 5 p.m. at the PHA offices, 917 Minor St.
The Paris Industrial Development Board will have a public hearing at 3 p.m. on the economic impact plan for Mineral Wells Avenue hotel project at Paris city hall.
The Henry County Commission will meet at 4 p.m. to discuss the economic impact plan for Mineral Wells Avenue hotel project in the Chancery courtroom at the courthouse.
The Paris Commission will meet at 5 p.m. at Paris city hall. A public hearing will be conducted immediately prior to the meeting, about the economic impact plan for Mineral Wells Avenue hotel project.
Kustoff rep to be here
A staff member of U.S. Rep. David Kustoff, R-Germantown, will be available to meet the public from 1-3 p.m. Tuesday in the conference room at the courthouse.
Members of the public with questions or concerns for the congressman can speak to the staff member during those hours.
Death an apparent suicide
The death of a Paris man is being investigated as an apparent suicide.
According to information from the Paris Police Department, the body of Jake Fowler, 21, was found by officers at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday inside a parked vehicle off Mineral Wells Avenue.
In addition to officers, an ambulance crew from Henry County Emergency Medical Services was called to the scene. He was declared dead at the scene.

Jaycees plan fundraiser
The Paris-Henry County Jaycees will present Jammin’ 4 the Kids at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 7 at the Paris Moose Lodge.
Four musical acts will perform during the event: Ethan Torsak & JC, Quest, Jordan Skoda and the Ray Lewis Band.
An auction and a 50-50 drawing also will be conducted that night.
The Jaycees conduct this fundraiser annually to benefit their Christmas Shopping Tour for underprivileged children.
