The Henry County Health Department is moving on to Phase 1B of the state’s COVID-19 vaccination plan, with an emphasis on citizens who are age 75 and older.
The department is now booking appointments for people in that age group who want to get vaccinated.
Henry County residents can find out if they’re eligible for this phase by going online to covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/eligibility/.
They can register online at covid19.tn.gov/covid-19-vaccines/vaccine-phases/ for an appointment. Click Henry County on the map and then click “Make an Appointment” to register. Users will be asked to enter their name and contact information to be notified of their appointment date, time and location.
Eligible countians can also call in to register for an appointment, at 731-421-6782. Callers will be asked to provide their name and a phone number to be notified of their appointment date, time and location.
The vaccines currently in use require two doses for the best protection against the virus. People who receive their first dose of COVID-19 vaccine at the Health Department will be contacted to make an appointment to receive their second dose.
The vaccine supply is still limited. The Health Department will announce additional chances later as more vaccine becomes available.
