The Cottage Grove Legislative Council voted to move its city hall out of the former Cottage Grove Christian School building at its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday.
Council member Machelle Operia made the motion to move into the former bank building now owned by the city.
All present members voted yes but John Weiher, who voted no.
Council member Matthew McClure made a motion to accept $7,500 for any bids made on the equipment left behind in the former J.T.’s General Store building.
Operia made a motion for line item changes in the 2019-20 city budget.
A total of $2,269 was moved from insurance to general fund miscellaneous.
McClure reported on shingle damage to the former bank building, which occurred during the weekend. Repairs were completed before the meeting.
Weiher said he would be contacting a mowing representative for the city to see if cleanup in another alley is possible.
