Shaking off the frustration of opening the season on the road with two losses, the Henry County High School Patriots romped to a 48-14 victory over Dyer County in a Region 7-5A contest played Friday night at Patriot Stadium.

A large Big Red crowd cheered, clapped and blew horns as the Patriots built a 21-7 halftime lead before going on a 27-7 scoring run in the third quarter to blow the game open.

Patriot runners Jayln Foster and Jayden Kendall both ran for two touchdowns while quarterback Ryan Damron threw for 198 yards on 10 of 12 passing. He threw touchdown passes of 59 yards to Jawon Odoms, 57 yards to Damian Rushing and eight yards to Mekhi Sanders.
