PARIS TN: Henry County teen dies in car crash on Reynoldsburg Rd in Henry County

A passerby walks by the wreckage of a two-vehicle accident that killed Zach French, a 17-year-old Henry County High School senior, Monday afternoon.

A Henry County High School student was killed instantly in a two-vehicle crash Monday afternoon on Reynoldsburg Road, just south of the Van Dyke Road intersection.

Zachery Bryant French, 17, was headed toward Paris in a 2006 Toyota Camry when he ran off the right side of the road, over-corrected and went sideways directly into the path of a 2010 Ford F-150.

He was the son of Ronnie and Shannon French of Swor Road, southeast of Paris.

A senior at HCHS, French was to graduate this Friday night. Grief counseling was being provided today at the high school by all three of the school’s counselors for students who wanted to participate.

The driver of the truck, M.F. Cannon, 69, of Reynoldsburg Road, was carried by ambulance to Henry County Medical Center but no information on his condition was available.

The accident was investigated by Trooper Jeremy Byars of the Tennessee Highway Patrol, who said both drivers had their seat belts on.

Ridgeway Funeral Home will announce arrangements for French.
