A Henry County woman who was involved in a fatal collision with a motorcycle has been charged with driving under the influence by a Tennessee Highway Patrol officer.
Suzanne S. Fowlkes, 56, of 4740 County Home Road east of Paris was charged with first offense driving under the influence by Trooper Jason Mounts.
She was arrested at 5:45 p.m. Sunday on Highway 79 northeast of Paris, after she was involved in a two-vehicle collision that killed a Benton County motorcyclist.
Michael Wall, 39, of Eva died after the 2014 Harley-Davidson motorcycle he was riding collided with the 2005 Ford Sport Utility Vehicle being driven by Fowlkes.
Mounts stated in his report Wall was heading toward Paris Landing on Highway 79 when Fowlkes’ vehicle pulled into his path from Elkhorn Road.
The accident happened about an hour prior to Fowlkes’ arrest.
Fowlkes was released after posting a $1,500 bond.
She was scheduled to appear today in Henry County General Sessions Court.
