A Henry County man was arrested Wednesday by state investigators in an alleged murder-for-hire plot.
According to information from the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, William Robert Carlisle, 40, of Springville was charged with solicitation to commit first-degree murder late Wednesday afternoon in the Buchanan area.
The arrest was made by TBI special agents, working alongside investigators with the Henry County Sheriff’s Department, Paris Police Department and Metro Crime Unit.
On Wednesday, at the request of 24th District Attorney General Matt Stowe, TBI agents began investigating Carlisle. During the course of the investigation, agents and investigators learned that Carlisle had tried to hire someone to kill a person in Henry County.
Late Wednesday afternoon, authorities found and arrested Carlisle in Buchanan. and he was taken to the Henry County jail. His bond was set at $500,000.
