PARIS TN: A grand gesture for the Grand Parade

Henry County High School will launch the celebration of its 50th year with a marching entry in the World’s Biggest Fish Fry Grand Parade on April 26. Alumni, as well as current students, faculty, and staff of HCHS are invited to walk in the parade carrying a banner, seen here supported by HCHS students, and balloons. There will be two large balloons for the years 1969 and 2019, as well as 50 smaller balloons. “We need as many students and former graduates of HCHS as we can to participate,” said David Webb, HCHS teacher and member of its 50th anniversary committee. Participants will need to sign a waiver. The school plans to celebrate its 50th anniversary Sept. 27-29 with the annual homecoming football game, an alumni gala with dinner and dancing, an open house, an historical exhibit and a time capsule burial. For more information, call the high school at 642-5232.
