Elizondo gets award, shield

Paris Mayor Carlton Gerrell (left) speaks after awarding Chuck Elizondo the shield he carried as chief of police during a brief ceremony at Thursday night’s Paris Commission meeting at Paris city hall. Elizondo, who retired on Dec. 31, 2020, was also awarded his sidearm and the Tower of Excellence Mayor’s award.
