PARIS TN: Painting the town

Local artist Dan Knowles poses with a mural that’s in progress, depicting today’s use of electricity. The mural is one of four of a series depicting Paris’ history in rural electrification, painted for the Tennessee Valley Authority and the Paris Board of Public Utilities to be placed on the west wall of the BPU building on East Washington Street. The four pieces are due to be revealed this season. The Post-Intelligencer’s own associate publisher, Evonne Williams, and staff writer Bill McCutcheon are featured in the mural.
