U.S. 8th Congressional District map released

This map released Wednesday by the Tennessee House Select Committee on Redistricting shows the planned boundaries for the U.S. 8th Congressional District, which again includes all of Henry County. Among the proposed changes are the addition of Hardeman, McNairy, Hardin, Chester and Henderson counties. Locally, a small portion of Benton County has been added as well. The additional counties would raise the district’s total population from its 2019 total of 711,068 to a potential 767,871. The district has been represented since 2017 by Congressman David Kustoff, R-Germantown.
