A century’s worth of memories

Jim Cullivan (middle) speaks with Buddy Perry of Cadiz, Ky. (left), a player he coached during his career at Murray State, and long-time friend Jane Robertson of Paris during Cullivan’s 100th birthday party Thursday at First United Methodist Church. A story including details of Cullivan’s career and accomplishments was published on the sports page of Thursday’s Post-Intelligencer. That article also contained incorrect information about one of the events mentioned for Cullivan’s birthday. The article stated a second party for Cullivan would take place at 1 p.m. Saturday at the fishing club located next to Jones Bend Lake on Jones Bend Road. That gathering will actually honor his daughter, Linda Griffith, on the occasion of her 75th birthday.
