Repairs near Paris Civic Center continue

City of Paris worker Gary Paschall (standing in the hole), places a new pipe in position Tuesday afternoon where a water line broke Sunday near the Paris Civic Center on Volunteer Drive. Above him (from left) are city employees Robert Beard, Tony Lawrence, director of the Parks and Recreation Department, and Donnie Banks. The water line was originally repaired Monday but complications caused it to burst again. The workers said they hope to have the line fully repaired by the end of today. Paschall said, as of Tuesday, the Civic Center remains without water but no other buildings in the area were known to have been affected.
