PARIS TN: A tour through the pages of history

Curtis Crosser portrays John Irion, a physician who served in the Confederate Army and was a state Masonic Grand Master. Irion was also president of the Paris Board of Health as well as an editor of The Post-Intelligencer. Born in 1837, he died in 1908 and is buried in the Paris City Cemetary where the “Tales from the Crypt” program drew almost 200 Saturday as a fundraiser for the Henry County Cemetery Committee. Funds raised will be used to clean and restore monuments in the cemetery.
