Double car fire extinguished

Paris Firefighters T.C. Myrick (left) and Asst. Chief Chuck Wade extinguish a fire that engulfed two junked cars about 11 a.m. Tuesday at Outlaw’s Auto Salvage, 1255 Caledonia St. Ext., near Paris. Employee Richard Herren helps by using a Bobcat to lift hoods and trunk lids. Outlaw’s Stacey Garner said a spark ignited gasoline, but they were able to contain the blaze to the two vehicles, and nobody was hurt. He praised the “great” fire department, saying they arrived within 5 minutes.
