PARIS TN: Paris gas prices hit recent low

Hunter Stout of Paris finishes fueling up Tuesday afternoon at Patriot Mart, 1330 E. Wood St., as a long line of other motorists wait for their chance to buy gas for 99 cents a gallon for the first time since the 1970s. Jay Sukhadia, Patriot Mart owner, said he dropped the price to that level at 5 a.m. Tuesday, and had been told by the website that it was the state’s lowest price. He wasn’t sure how long that price would hold, but said he was glad to be able to do something for the community during the COVID-19 economic crunch.
