PARIS TN: Adding fuel to the fire

Bill Bierman of Murray uses his excavator to add felled trees to a controlled fire Monday evening behind Sonic Drive-In. For weeks, he’s been clearing a triangular parcel of land bounded by Veterans Drive, Tyson Avenue and the railroad tracks that belongs to Harold Hurt, a Murray lawyer. Bierman said Hurt and his partner, Rob Morton of Morton Trucking in Lynn Grove, plan to finish cleaning up the property and have Bierman haul in enough dirt near Tyson to construct a commercial building.
