William Moore Coffey, 77, of Paris died Wednesday, June 26, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center.
His funeral service will be at noon Tuesday at Crawshaw Funeral Home in Murphysboro, Ill., officiated by Robert Flannery of the Church of St. Francis Xavier in Carbondale, Ill.
Burial will be in Parrish Cemetery in Vergennes, Ill.
Visitation will be from 10:30 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral home.
Local arrangements are being handled by McEvoy Funeral Home.
Coffey was born Dec. 19, 1941, in Kirkwood, Mo. He was the son of the late William Guignon and Mary Jane Moore Coffey.
He was married Aug. 7, 1986, to Myrna A. Shewmaker Coffey of Paris, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by three sons: William (Paula) Lewis of Webster, Texas, Christopher (Terry) Lewis of Centennial, Colo., and Craig (Marty) Coffey of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a stepson, Brian (Michell) White of Topeka, Kan.; a sister, Ellen Hungerford of Prairie Village, Kan.; a stepsister, Sheila Sabbag of Santa Rosa, Calif.; a sister-in-law, Ladonna (Jack) Etherton of Metropolis, Ill.; a brother-in-law, David (Carolyn) Shewmaker of Murphysboro, Ill,; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was a Catholic by faith and enjoyed gardening and travel.
