John F. Melton, 60, of Paris died Saturday, Nov. 9, 2019, at Henry County Medical Center. No cause of death was given.
His funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at McEvoy Funeral Home, with Dusty Stout officiating.
Burial will be in New Bethel Church of Christ Cemetery.
Visitation is scheduled for 11 a.m. today until the time of service at the funeral home.
Melton was born on March 16, 1959, in Camden. He was the son of the late Wadie F. Melton and Lara Alene Pierpoint Grathwell.
He was married on June 2, 1995, to Teresa “Tracy” Dunlap Melton of Paris, who survives.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Crystal Mayo of Paris and Randie (Mickey) Futrell of Murray; five sons: Brandon Melton of Paris, Michael (Misty) Melton and Jeremy Melton, both of Camden, K.J. (Kelly) Rodgers of Maryland and Michael Tyler (Miranda) Melton of Japan; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters: Margaret (Gary) Markham of Big Sandy, Evelyn (Walter) Snider and Doris Ann (Doug) Peterson, both of Camden, Annie Mae Standridge of Trezevant and Lisa Kuykendall of Tennessee; a brother, Larry Melton of Big Sandy; and numerous nieces, nephews and special friends.
Melton was a Christian by faith who enjoyed spending time with his family.
