Former carpenter Lee Daniel Cole, 42, of Buchanan died Saturday, Nov. 2, 2019, at his home after a two-year battle with stomach cancer.
His funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Ridgeway Funeral Home, with Daryl Lewis officiating.
Pallbearers are John Melton, Josh Watson, David Wallace, Jody Odle, Justen Byars, Mills Knott, Aaron Murray and Tim Phifer.
Burial will be in Ramble Creek Cemetery in Big Sandy.
Visitation began Sunday and will continue from 9 a.m. Monday until the service.
Cole was born on Aug. 19, 1977, in Huntsville, Ala. He was the son of Ronnie Cole of Buchanan and the late Kathy Frazier Cole.
In addition to his father, he is survived by a sister, Kristy (Tim) Phifer of Big Sandy; a brother, Zachary Cole of Buchanan; a niece, Paisley Phifer; a nephew, Lucas Phifer; his father’s special friend, Tiffaney Scarbrough and her son, JT Legace.
Cole was a carpenter in the Kentucky union before his health declined. He attended First Baptist Church in Big Sandy and enjoyed fishing, duck hunting, spending time on the water and riding around with his dog Chico.
